The seeds are retained in the structures until they open to cast seeds out. most of them rime from height is how the bear cones seeds come out, yet some animals do eat them.

I think a lot of trees live in the Taiga, because it's a forest, and probably has many different types of trees. I would think that there are most likely shrubs, bushes, flowers, and grass in a Taiga Coniferous Forest.
